Tanner was very lucky to be able to spend his frist Christmas with his Nana and Pop, Oma and Opa, and his Auntie Dharma. He especially enjoyed his new trike...but I'm not sure who is more excited, him or Drew.

Christmas Playdate and Ladies Night Out

Stephanie hosted some of us gals and our kiddos, for a fun playdate afterwhich we ditched the kids with the dads and went out for a great dinner and some fun.

Tanner visits Santa

Tanner wasn't sure about the whole Santa thing. But, after half an hour of hanging out near Santa, talking with him periodically, reading a book with Santa and Tanner finally worked up the nerve to release his death grip from my shirt and sit in Santa's lap long enough for one photo where Tanner wasn't crying! We will pretend like the experience won't scar him for life and that the look of panic is really excitement.

A Few Tentative Steps

Thanksgiving Day

Tanner was thankful that when he took his first steps on Thanksgiving Day there were many hands to catch him. He probably wasn't so thankful that we tried to make him do it again and again and again.

He was also thankful that even though he showed us he can go it alone, Daddy was still there to hold his hands.

We spent some time at the play ground with the Zirkles on Sunday, and Liam was a great friend and took Tanner on the slide a bunch of times. They both had a blast!
