The Waiting Game...

Two days till her due date...we are all waiting, some more patiently than other, for her to make an appearance. Tanner is working on his big brother helper skills and spent sometime yesterday afternoon putting a doll into the swing, buckling it up and giving it a good push.

As mentioned in my earlier post, in addition to our family shots, Cathy and I ran around Monday afternoon and got some fun shots of the big belly. You can check out their blog post here.

A Family Portrait - Sneak Peak

We hooked up with Cathy of Cayton Photography last weekend to have some photos taken before my belly disappears. They posted a little sneak peak on their blog here.

Cathy and I also ran around and did some maternity photos alone, fun things to look forward to.

Thanks Cathy!

Touch The Trucks

Tanner was in heaven...trucks, buses, loaders, fire trucks, and tons of other vehicles to sit in, honk horns and be in awe...it was a good morning.

Big Mama and her new Bike

Drew, Tanner and I met up with friends for a little ride Saturday afternoon. We rode up and down the Fountain Creek trail and then headed into downtown for dinner at Il Vocino...a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon. The cruiser is awesome, and just what a pregnant girl needs to keep up with her boys.

Nothing Cuter

than these two little guys on their balance bikes doing a little bit of single track riding. Drew rode with them, while LeighAnn and I tried to keep up on foot. Those little legs took them about 2.5 miles round trip, and the boys did great! Tanner even wanted to ride again this evening...i think we have a biker on our hands...HOORAY!

Oma's Visit

During Oma's visit, we did manage to take a few breaks from all our house projects and room prep work for some good old playground time. Oma and Tanner had a blast...

Thanks Oma for all the fun and all the help with getting the rooms ready!

We're So Proud...

Tanner has been out of diapers and using the Potty for a few weeks now...and he is doing great! We are so proud of him, and I'm super excited to have him out of diapers before the next one arrives.

Yeah for Tanner!

One of a Kind

We are really lucky...baby girl has the most wonderful bedding set ever, hand made with lots of love by Oma. My mom mentioned she wanted to make a quilt for the new baby and I somehow managed to sucker her into doing a whole set for the baby's room. We picked out some fantastic fabric...Amy Butler's Midwest Modern Pink Dahlia...and my mom put together this amazing quilt, with coordinating bumper, bed skirt and curtains (not pictured) and the most adorable little pillow for the rocking chair. I'm so excited to set it all up and start getting ready for this little girl to arrive. We still need to move Tanner into his new room, and tackle some serious painting (why did I do bright blue and dark brown walls?) before we can start getting the new room set up.

THANKS OMA...THE QUILT IS TRULY AN AMAZING GIFT AND PIECE OF ART WE WILL ENJOY AND TREASURE FOREVER!

Fathers Day

We had a super fun fathers day...including a trip to the zoo, a good nap and an afternoon bike ride on the Santa Fe trail down to Poor Richards to get pizza for dinner. I'm guessing Drew's highlight was when he asked if Tanner was getting tired of riding, and Tanner said "No Daddy, I'm having fun riding my bike."

Seeing the Rehms at the Beach

It was such a treat to see you guys and have an afternoon of fun in the sun. We hope it wont be another two years before we see you again!

...AFTER...

some of the new windows and the new house color we picked.

Next up...get the remaining doors done, getting the new kiddo rooms organized, building the retaining wall and doing some landscaping. Hopefully win the lottery and be able to add some more things to the house project completed list!
